About Byatt-Smith Antiques
Antique dealers in the UK
Byatt-Smith Antiques is an independent antique furniture dealer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, working with clients across the UK and internationally. Founded by Iain Byatt-Smith, the business reflects over two decades of experience in the antiques trade, specialising in carefully sourced antique and vintage furniture.
As antiques dealers in the UK market, we value long-term relationships with clients and a thoughtful approach to buying and selling. We take time to carefully source interesting, well-made antique furniture with real character – from elegant Georgian and Victorian bookcases to stylish vintage lighting. We have a particular interest in craftsmanship, provenance, and pieces suited to both period and contemporary interiors.
Alongside offering antiques for sale worldwide, we also provide expert advice, antique valuations, and bespoke sourcing services across across the North East and the wider UK. Our approach is straightforward and informed, offering clients clear guidance based on experience within the UK antiques market.
At Byatt-Smith Antiques, we aim to connect people with pieces they’ll love for years to come – without pressure, or pretense.
