An LC Smith and Corona model 3 folding typewriter, dated 1934,
serial no. V671041.
Fully restored and working order with original case.
17cm high x 29cm wide x 21.5cm deep
11cm high x 29cm wide x 21.5cm deep (folded)
Case: 11.5cm high x 31cm wide x 25.5cm deep
Famously used by Agatha Christie, Lawrence Durrell, and Ernest Hemingway who described it as 'the only psychiatrist I would ever submit to'. Corona typewriters have always been considered iconic and their folding carriage made them the most successful portable typewriters in history. We have really enjoyed having this in the house, the sound of clacking keys is quite nostalgic.
