in the Rococo taste, with pierced acanthus scrolls and cut-glass silver-mounted ink bottle, raised on tapering feet. Hallmarked Chester, 1903.

Henry Matthews was a Birmingham silversmith celebrated for finely made small silver objects and accessories produced from his workshop on Vittoria Street, a part of the historic Jewellery Quarter.
Condition.
In good overall condition, some rubbing to the scrollwork and hallmarks, although still clear.
