A pair of Neoclassical Walker & Hall silver plated candlesticks,
dated 1892.
Each with capitals modelled as classical urns, decorated with foliate swags and rams' heads, raised on square tapered bases with beaded edge, further rams' heads and harebell swags. Each with clear marks to the base.
12.5cm high x 9cm wide x 9cm deep.
A lovely pair of candlesticks. The decoration is satisfyingly crisp, with delicate details throughout helping to scatter the candlelight. The rams' heads and garland adorned urns are achingly Neoclassical and their smaller size makes these a lovely addition to cosy dinner tables.
Condition
Lovely condition overall, marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. The corners of the sconces are a little out of shape, and there is a minor knock to the edge of one base.
